Tips for Improving Self Confidence
Look in any bookstore and you’ll find handfuls of books geared for improving self confidence that provide easy tips and “ways of acting”. Unfortunately, many of these tips do not actually improve your confidence but create a false sense of improvement that diminishes with time.
To work on improving self confidence you must first understand what confidence is and what prevents it. When we describe someone as being very confident or sure of themselves we usually are describing their ability to perform an action or activity effortlessly and without fear. The big keyword here is “Without fear”.
Confidence is the lack of fear
The way I like to define confidence is that it is a lack of fear or anxiety for performing a particular activity. For example, you’re probably pretty confident at brushing your teeth, taking a bath, etc. It’s the activities that we are unsure of ourselves and have anxiety of that make us feel the need to work on improving self confidence. In reality, you’re probably confident in many areas of your life and don’t even realize it!

Getting Rid of Fear and Anxiety
As stated above, the biggest roadblocks to confidence in any area of your life are fear and anxiety. These two “poisons” can range from very easy to fix to extremely difficult. If you’re dealing with anxiety in social situations or with the opposite sex these may require a great deal of work to fix. If you’re dealing with something like a lack of confidence playing tennis then that should be too hard to fix.
The key to improving your confidence in any area of your life is performing the activity that you fear and working through the fear. Of course, this often is not enough as many people have psychological roadblocks that are ingrained into the way they operate.
Our thinking has a major effect on the way we feel and our anxiety/fear levels. The most effective solution to improving self confidence is changing the way that you think. How you think really does lead to how you act and feel. One of the best tools available to resolve your fears and anxieties and boost up your confidence is the Mind Reality.
